DANIEL SANTIAGO ZANKER OVALLE

It’s difficult to find the words that would accurately convey the feelings of voodoo as a group at the passing of our good friend Daniel. Everyone of us had a different relationship with him but I can safely say absolutely everyone loved him. A kinder, more loving, gentle person you could never hope to meet and a massive part of our lives and Voodoo as a whole. His talent and love of music was infectious and as well as working in Voodoo for many years he has also graced the stage more times than anyone else in many of his various musical ventures. To say Daniel will be missed really doesn’t cover it…as was quoted to me this week, ‘He was the best of us’ pretty much sums it up.

We would like to thank everyone that has shown support either via messages or calling into the bar to pay their respects, it’s been quite overwhelming and proves just how many people cared for and respected Daniel. We will pass on all your good wishes to Daniel’s family.
As much as we grieve, our thoughts are with them at this time.

Voodoo will be closed Tuesday 20th January to allow the staff to attend Daniel’s funeral and reopen again Wednesday morning.

Thank you
