This piece I imagine the woman in the bottom right to be aloof, but quite lonely, and she dreams up an ideal partner who hovers above her. She hasn’t the courage or confidence to develop a real connection so she fantasises. Or maybe, she exists in a time where this connection is outlawed. She dreams regardless. 🤷

I always do weird poses, faces, movements in my room alone and I'm a closeted performer at the moment so this is the only way I can get out the energy within my body - by expressing it on canvas. Pieces like this are always dear to me, because it expresses movement I wish I could embody more in the world, beyond my room.

Strumming before a party calms me down so here’s a song I wrote a few years ago! Written from a perspective of a partner not entirely trusting the other, anxiously asking if they’d stick around through the bodily changes that happen with pregnancy. I haven’t posted myself singing like this so I’m a bit nervous but I hope you enjoy. ❤️ by @vootsak
