Following a successful 2025/2026 season at VOS - Our General Manager, Dan Comeau, will be taking 2 weeks off starting on Monday, July 13th. The rehearsal hall will still be filled with endless VOS magic with our Teen Academy, Summer Steps for the Stage workshops, and Music Bingo!

Dan has been working throughout this week to set the society up for success while he's gone. If you need any support or have questions that require attention before Dan returns on the 27th, please feel free to reach out to our President, Doug (president@victoriaonstage.ca).

🌈Want to celebrate performing with pride with VOS?🌈

For the past three years VOS has partnered with Chek Media to dance/walk in the pride parade. This is great for anyone who is high energy, enjoys movement, and is able to be on their feet (on cement) in the sun for extended periods of time (approx 90 minutes).

1. Dance in the parade with VOS: This is open to anyone who can attend 2 rehearsals, as well as the parade on the morning of July 12 for approximately 90 minutes (starting at 11am). This year we will be dancing to "Raise You Up/Just Be" from Kinky Boots with choreography from Emma Wilde. Rehearsals are on June 28th and July 5th from 12:00am - 2:00 pm. Please note: The pride parade tends to be quite hot, and can be physically taxing for some. Dancers will be seen dancing live on the Chek News broadcast.

2. Walk in the parade with VOS: This is open to anyone who is available on the morning of July 12 at 11:00am for approximately 90 minutes. No rehearsal needed. Walkers will be seen live on the Chek News broadcast.

3. Volunteer at the booth: Join other VOS volunteers at the booth in MacDonald Park to help promote our upcoming season, encourage people to volunteer with VOS, celebrate pride and, above all, to have fun! Volunteer slots are broken up in 2 hour slots:
11:00 am - 1:00 pm
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

🎭✨ REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! ✨💃

With the success of last year's dance workshop series, we're thrilled to announce that VOS Summer Steps for the Stage is returning to the VOS Hall this July and running through August!

Designed for performers ages 16+, these drop-in style workshops offer a fun, welcoming, and positive environment to explore the many styles of musical theatre dance. From the sharp, sultry movements of Bob Fosse to the flowing, emotion-filled storytelling of contemporary dance—and everything in between—this is your chance to learn from a variety of choreographers and expand your dance training.

• John Manson

Victoria On Stage is excited to open applications for the Directorial Team of our Spring 2027 production of Disney's Frozen: The Broadway Musical!

We're seeking passionate and creative individuals interested in the following roles:

Selected candidates will be invited to interviews during the first two weeks of July. Please note that not all applicants will be selected for an interview.

Each year VOS awards a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 (Canadian) to a student who has demonstrated passion and dedication to the performing arts. The scholarship is available to students who are choosing to pursue studies in the performing arts at the post-secondary level, including conservatory style training. by @vosyyj

We’re thrilled to welcome Kelley Gorman and Stephanie Geehan as our new Volunteer Coordinators! With years of VOS experience both on and off stage, they bring incredible heart, knowledge, and community spirit to this role. We couldn’t be more excited to have them leading and supporting our amazing volunteers.

A huge thank-you to Jen Sanders and Robert Mitchell for creating and shaping this role over the past three years. Through six productions, many member events, and countless hours of support, their dedication helped build the strong, vibrant volunteer community we have today. We’re also grateful that Jen will continue mentoring through the summer and Into the Woods.

We're grateful to announce that after only 2 days of audition submissions being open - Tuesday (June 2) and Thursday (June 4th) time slots are now full. But no worries - or "Agony" - we're opening additional time slots to accommodate more performers to sign up!
