Today my colleagues voted in favor of challenging a Supreme Court decision (Plyler v Doe) that guarantees every child should have access to a public education. It is a sad day for children in the US. This should scare every elected in our country.

We will have a couple of more times to advocate against this bill. Follow @tnimmigrant for those opportunities.

Surprise! My first bike ride with an elected leader is Tennessee Representative Gabby Salinas: @voteforgabby !

Gabby moved here when she was a young girl to go through treatment at St Jude’s, and later studied to become a scientist and eventually work there. Now she’s a Tennessee state Rep!

We want you to know that early voting is NOW until August 1. During early voting, you can vote at any of the early voting locations. If you wait until Election Day, you MUST vote at your polling site which is limiting.

A direct mail piece issued from my campaign has a candidate that is not someone who I am supporting for Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk. This was a mistake made by my campaign and I apologize to my colleague TN State Rep. Joe Towns who is the Democratic Nominee for Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk for this error. We are reprinting and mailing a new direct mail piece. I am a staunch and committed Democrat and acknowledge that this was a glaring error and is being corrected by the campaign as soon as possible. by @voteforgabby
