I’m so excited to support @esavit as Michigan’s next Attorney General and I hope you will join me in casting your ballot for him on or before November 3.

You can vote straight party ticket for “Democratic Party” and your vote will include Eli Savit, too.

Eli has always showed up for me and our community, and it’s time we show up for him, too.

Why this job is so incredibly important and why Eli is the best candidate:

We need an attorney general who is not afraid to stand up to the Trump Administration. His maga opponent is a rubber stamp for Trump.

We have seen how the Trump Administration has pushed the boundaries of the U.S. Constitution, creating their own polices and not following the laws written by Congress, to try and see what they can get away with.

The Courts have been the last stop for this type of corruption and abuse of government.

Attorney General Dana Nessel has stood up to the Trump Administration. She has secured nearly 40 wins against actions by the Trump administration, ensuring billions of dollars in federal funding are rightfully sent back to Michigan, and that absentee ballots were delivered by the USPS to voters recently.

We need an Attorney General who is willing to continue to protect Michigan, when Republicans in Congress fail to do so. That should be enough for us to support Eli, but Eli is also an experienced prosecutor.

Eli has spent his public service career protecting victims of SA; meanwhile, while his maga opponent let child SA predators and criminals off the hook, reducing charges for child SA conduct, or dismissing them all together.

Annnnddddd watch them persecute me for something else now. It’s always maga who come on my page or sit in official government meetings at the same table as me who shove their belief down everyone’s throat as if they’re superior to everyone else and nothing else matters. You can live a life dedicated to your religious belief without shaming others or spreading hate and lies while you do it.

The senior citizens who got into their car or took the bus to the rally, then waited in long lines, were determined to see @abdulelsayed today. I just took them with me to the front of the line and got them settled into VIP seats with me. Nothing’s gonna stop them, and nothing should stop you either. No Republican elected official has spoken out against the Cornell 7. They passed the Laken Riley Act on January 25, 2025.

The law condemned and targeted not just the perpetrator, it set a dangerous precedent, instilling fear into people into believing that all non-citizens and immigrants are dangerous and *may* have the *potential* to commit heinous crimes so they should all be detained and deported.

A national Bureau of Justice Statistics analysis found that 97% of offenders in rape/sexual-assault victimizations involving female students were male. More than half were perceived by victims to be white.

The Bureau of Justice Statistics found that about 80% of rape and sexual-assault victimizations involved an offender known to the victim: acquaintance, friend, dating partner, or family member, rather than by a stranger. The CDC notes that majority of perpetrators of rape and other sexual victimization against women are male acquaintances or intimate partners.

For undocumented immigrants, Texas arrest data from 2012–2018 found that undocumented immigrants had lower rates of felony arrest than U.S.-born citizens, including for sexual assault; undocumented immigrants were roughly half as likely to be arrested for sexual assault as U.S.-born citizens.

The Laken Riley Act allows DHS to detain non-citizens, including green card holders, refugees, TPS, DACA, who are merely ARRESTED or ACCUSED or charged of a crime. Yes, you read that correctly: not convicted and found guilty, just simply IF they are ACCUSED by anyone, they can and will be detained.

It gives state attorney generals authority to sue the federal government if they fail to do the above

It removes the ability for those individuals accused and arrested and detained NO ability to pay for a BOND to be released.

I expect this same level of legal justification for any rich frat boy, if we are truly concerned about protecting young women.
