A spontaneous attempt at photographing the solar eclipse, and somehow this ended up being the final shot. ☀️

What makes it even better is that the whole setup was completely improvised with cardboard, eclipse glasses and a sock.

Definitely one of the more unusual photos I’ve taken, but also one of the most fun.

Sometimes the best photo ideas start with absolutely no plan at all. ☀️📷

We spontaneously decided to try photographing the solar eclipse — with one small problem: we didn’t have a proper solar filter for the camera.

So we improvised.

A piece of cardboard, an eclipse-viewing glass, a sock to keep everything in place… and somehow our DIY solar filter was ready. Definitely not the most professional-looking setup we’ve ever used, but the results turned out way better than we expected. 😄

Sometimes photography is just about experimenting, improvising and seeing what happens — and this time it actually worked.

Camera: Sony A7V
DIY filter: cardboard + eclipse glasses + one very important sock 😂
