two weeks ago I conducted a two day zine workshop for grassroots architects, designers & art historians. over the critically small amount of time the participants investigated a city of Voronezh basing their observations on Guy Debord Dérive theory, drifting across town and gathering ephemera – photographs, drawings & audio recordings. as the result, each participant made their own first zine reflecting on the experience, and presented it @ the local contemporary art community @workroom.daipyat. within the confines of @chpv_out trip (a registration to the next one to Kaliningrad is now open, check the profile’s bio), october 2019 by @votpravda

just a few of random acidy covers we made with @huis_des for the study project we were smashed on the crit 🥴 the idea behind the project is that the concept of drawing and visualizing music is quite dated and cliche; that is why we reversed the process vice versa, inviting the artists to create their music & sound pieces based on our visual input. the outcome is a huge library of visual material available for license free use (or friendly donation, if you are kinda rich and stuff). by @votpravda

BEHIND THE GARAGES is a set of 3 books made by @neploho.mag, each containing 4 documental stories, made by 12 artists (and i’m one of them). Each author had to investigate a point of interest found during field work and find an appropriate artistic way to address the subject. In my case, ‘The everlasting fire of regional journalism’ it is the story of russian regional media which post quite a fascinating number of reports and articles about local fire accidents, as if it is the infinite mother lode of newsworthy material. I wrote a mockumentary interview with one of such reporters who writes these news on a daily basis. The format for each story is a 5x7cm foldable double sided strip. The book is riso-printed 2+1, the cover is screen-printed 1+0, edition of 50. by @votpravda
