Welcome to the Sok Sirng Foundation.

I started this foundation with one simple mission: to help children by providing school supplies, educational resources, and other basic necessities they need to succeed.

This is just the beginning. My dream is that one day the Sok Sirng Foundation will provide scholarships and grants to hardworking children around the world who simply need an opportunity, a second chance to pursue their education and build a brighter future.

The foundation is named in honor of my grandfather, Sok Sirng.

My grandfather, Sok Sirng, was once a gold merchant in Cambodia. During the Cambodian genocide in the 1970s, like millions of others, he lost the life he had built and was forced into agricultural labor. Despite unimaginable hardship, he never let adversity define his character. He carried resilience, humility, and hope through one of history’s darkest chapters.

His journey made my own possible.

Today, I pursue higher education not only for myself, but to honor the sacrifices of those who came before me. Every degree I earn, every opportunity I create, and every child we help through this foundation is a continuation of his story.

The Sok Sirng Foundation was created to invest in children’s futures through education, opportunity, and hope because every child deserves the chance to dream beyond their circumstances.

His hands once carried me.
Now, his legacy carries me.

Welcome to the journey. 🤍 by @vounterili
