Traveling solo with kids isn’t always easy — but it’s 100% worth it. 💛
Here are my top 5 tips to make the journey smoother:

1️⃣ Slow down & don’t set the bar too high.
2️⃣ Plan a few activities, but leave room for spontaneity.
3️⃣ Play and be present — little games make long walks magical.
4️⃣ Try car bingo or fun challenges on long drives.
5️⃣ Remember: kids don’t need luxury, they need you.

This is why we travel. 🤍

Not for fancy hotels.
Not for perfect plans.
Not for picture-perfect days.

Sometimes it’s just a tent, a beautiful view and the three of us somewhere new.

And then I look over and see this — two brothers, arms around each other, quietly looking out over Oldevatnet. 🥹

No big adventure in that moment.
Just us. Together.

I think these are the memories that stay.

The little moments in between. The ones you could never plan, but somehow become the whole reason you packed your bags in the first place.

Family travel doesn’t have to be fancy to be unforgettable. 🤍

Just go. Explore. Be together.

That’s what Voya Tribe is all about. ✨

This summer, we explored the wild and beautiful west coast of Norway 🇳🇴✨

Did it rain? Oh yes. A lot. 🌧️
Did we let that stop us? Absolutely not. 🤩

We got wet, cold and tired — but we also fished, went boating, swam, climbed mountains and made some of our best memories in the rain.

We stepped inside an incredible ice tunnel, played in the snow in the middle of summer, threw snowballs and went sledding. ❄️

We raced across the breathtaking Geirangerfjord in a RIB boat, and then slowed everything down to visit one of the old mountain farms tucked into the fjord.

And that might be one of my favourite things about travelling with my boys.

We don’t just read about history.
We stand where it happened.
We touch it, explore it and, for a little while, become part of it.

We hiked our way up the mountains — partly because the views are worth every step, and partly because apparently I thought a holiday needed a little more heavy breathing and tired legs. 😂⛰️

And then there was Bergen. ❤️

Beautiful, charming Bergen welcomed us with sunshine and warmth. We spent hours at the aquarium because the boys loved every minute of it, admired the yachts along the harbour, wandered around the fish market, found the most charming Christmas shop among the old wooden houses… and paid far too much for a cup of strawberries covered in melted chocolate. 🍓🍫

Worth it? Not sure. 😂

This summer gave us rain and sunshine, mountains and fjords, history and adventure, tired legs, wet clothes, snowball fights, laughter and so many moments I hope my boys will remember for years to come.

What a summer.
What a beautiful country we get to call home. 🇳🇴❤️

And what a privilege it is to explore it together.

I love traveling with my boys.

I love discovering new places, showing them the world and sharing new adventures together.

But some of our best summer memories happen much closer to home. 🤍

An afternoon filled with games and laughter.
Dinner together.
No rushing anywhere.
Just time.

Because maybe that’s what summer is really about.

Not how far we travel or how much we manage to experience.

But having a little more time for each other. ☀️

Some campsites are so much more than just a place to sleep. 🤍

Dønfoss was definitely one of those places for us.

Swimming in a natural mountain pool, exploring the playground among the trees, jumping on trampolines and simply enjoying being outside.

The boys absolutely loved it.

And judging by the amount of time I spent on those trampolines… I think I might have loved it just as much. 😂

These are the places I love finding when we travel – places where we can play, explore and make memories together.

Definitely somewhere we’d love to come back to. 🇳🇴

One of the most exciting ways to experience Geirangerfjord. 🤍

We joined a RIB tour and travelled between towering mountains, powerful waterfalls and some of the most dramatic scenery Norway has to offer.

The boys absolutely loved the speed, the waves and the feeling of adventure.

And I loved seeing the fjord from an entirely new perspective.

A little cold, a little wild and completely unforgettable.

Four years later, we were finally back at Oldevatnet. 🤍

This time, the weather wasn’t quite on our side.

But watching the boys jump into the kayaks every chance they got reminded me of something:

Kids rarely remember whether it rained.

They remember the adventures.

The paddling.
The laughter.
The feeling of being together.

And honestly… so do I.
