🏞️ LET THE RIVER FLOW 💦

Portitsa Gorge is located in the west of Grevena prefecture between the small mountains of Spileio and Lykotrypa at the eastern foothills of Orliakas. With a total length of about 500 meters, the canyon moves towards the east and is surrounded by sheer cliffs that are very close to each other creating a magical zigzag route.

The incomparably beautiful route is complemented by the emerald waters of the Venetikós River that passes through the gorge. Venetikós River is known for its characteristic greenish waters that change color only every autumn due to heavy rainfall. Just before entering the gorge, the Venetikós River creates the small Kanavi valley that leads to the Portitsa Gorge.
