Well folks. It’s been a while. A year in fact.
Lots of life.
Got married.
Had a baby.
But I’ve still been making stuff. I’m looking forward to catching up on things I’ve made, things i will be making, and some flashes of my new life as a husband and father.
This is the walk-in closet i built out for our bedroom. Still need some drawer faces. But this was an absolute game changer.

I made a thing!
Ok. Fine… my wonderful and beautiful wife @lizziesbiz did all the hard work.
But i provided 50% of the design! 🤣

I’ve been battling the flu for a few days now. Today i felt good enough to got off the couch and onto my welding stool. So i made the lady a hanger for her wind chimes.
I hung it up after i cleaned myself up (see last post).
Really pleased with the outcome. It could have easily stayed in place without the nails in the back, but decided to use em anyway… that way, I’ll have it.

Just because you CAN get all the paint out of a defective can of @rustoleum, doesn’t mean you SHOULD. PPE for the win.

A couple weeks back i decided to make a coat rack for myself. And then it was like “But Dave… what about our coats? There’s so much space. Can we just add a FEW more hooks?” FINE. 🙄

Wondering how to deal with takeout containers when your recycling center won’t take em?
Shop storage. Great for keeping brushes from drying out between coats of poly. Storing tools that don’t have a home otherwise. Storing cheesecloth to keep it fresh. Am i missing any?

“Paint booth” 😂
When you have a small shop you work with what you’ve got.

Now… what are they?

It isn’t sexual assault awareness day. It’s not even the right month. But that doesn’t matter one bit. I’m posting this today because I’m proud of my nieces @jolie.e8 and @lily_grace77 for speaking out on behalf of others, and will wear teal in solidarity with them today.

There will be those that simply abide by the status quo and remain complacent because they are not directly affected. And then there are those that bravely speak out for for the unheard, and for what is right even in anticipation of blowback from those that feel entitled by archaic norms.

I’m proud to say my nieces are amongst the latter.
