*Music Monday* cover of Blue Side of the Mountain by The Steeldrivers.

This has kinda been my theme song for life the last few years. I'm sure those that know me can understand why. by @vpdaryl463

*Music Moday* The song is called "Me Against the Mirror". I decided to change it up a little this week and put out something original.

Sometimes they take weeks or months to finish. Sometimes they come flowing right out. This one was the latter. Took about an hour to find a tune I liked and put lyrics to it. I've had this concept for a month or so, but really only had the phrase "Me against the mirror" in my head. Kinda wanted to get out some thoughts about struggling with yourself and going to war with the man in the mirror. It needs some polishing, but I think it's a decent start. by @vpdaryl463

*Music Monday* Cover of "If It Hadn't Been For Love by The Steeldrivers. I know that a lot of people know this as an Adele song, but she covered it as well. The original was bluegrass, written by Chris Stapleton during his time with the band.

Still a little rough on vocals from the intabution for surgery this past Wednesday. Not enough pipes to go over that longer. Hopefully be healed up better by next week. by @vpdaryl463

*Music Monday* Had to learn a new one and cover "Coat of Many Colors" by Dolly Parton.

RIP, and thanks for the music.

The guitar sounds better but still not right. I ordered some more upgrades. I'm determined to make this sound as good as it looks. by @vpdaryl463

*Music Monday* Cover of "Mammas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys" by Ed and Patsy Bruce.

Yes... I know it was later made famous when recorded by Waylon and Willie.

Oddly enough, the Waylon and Willie recording was released in 1978.

18 years later... Paula Cole released a recording of "Where Have all the Cowboys Gone?"

*Music Monday*

Cover of "Son of A" by Dylan Carmichael.

You may see the guitar has been swapped out. My Fender I've been playing for years is down for some long overdue repairs. I came across this very lightly used carbon fiber acoustic/electric for a good price and decided to try it out.

The strings are pretty bad, and the tuning machines are horrific, but it's got potential. I ordered some good machines and strings, hopefully they'll get here this week.
