Dotty, 2026
linoleum block print

I realized I never shared it here, but I made this piece back in March as a housewarming gift for my friend @wmodes

Wes and their shantyboat, Dotty, have traveled along America’s rivers, meeting the people and communities whose lives are shaped by these waterways. Their ongoing project, A Secret History of American River People, brings these often-overlooked voices and histories to light.

There’s something really special about the work Wes does, and I’m grateful to have a small way of celebrating it here.

You can learn more about Wes’s project, A Secret History of American River People, here: https://peoplesriverhistory.org/ or through the link in my bio. :) taken in Cincinnati by @vrtsee
