This 10mm from @venuslaowa @laowa.au is actually unfair.

An ultra-wide full-frame lens with a massive ~130° field of view.

For context a 35mm is around 63°.
That’s more than double the field of view, giving you a completely different perspective.

This is how I’m able to capture the full interior, both windows, and the road - all in one frame. No fisheye distortion, just a clean, immersive POV that actually feels like you’re in the car.

Mounted to the sunroof, it opens everything up and creates that real sense of speed - especially when both windows are in frame.

The Zero-D, rectilinear design keeps everything straight (or close to it), which is wild for a 10mm. No warped dash, pillars, or windows.

And with a fast f/2.8 aperture and autofocus, it’s been glued to my camera.

Two is always better than one 👀.

If you’re only using one mic, you’re missing half the sound!

One mic on the intake, another to capture the exhaust - then blend them together. That’s how I get a clean, full and immersive result.

On my @dji receiver I record in STERO, allowing me to split my audio into 2 tracks (Intake and Exhaust) in post.

Having 2 seperate tracks gives me the flexibility to make simple adjustments (levels, EQ, balance). I want my audio to sound premium - not just louder.

~ SETTINGS ~
Receiver: -12 dB
Transmitters (Mics): -12 dB
Low Cut Filter: ON
32Bit Float: ON
Recording mode: Stereo (NOT mono)

IF YOU’RE USING MIC MINI (or any that can be connected Bluetooth) - utilise your RX (Receiver). Using BT to your phone will leave you with sub par quality and distortion.

Lots of questions in my last video for my audio setup!

Getting clear audio has been super easy with DJI’s wireless mics which can record in 32-Bit Float (@dji @osmo_global Mic 2 & 3)

Instead of a narrow range, having 32-bit float means you can capture a massive dynamic range:
• You can record too loud OR too quiet.
• Then fix it after in editing.
• No clipping, no lost detail (within reason).

Negative gain (-12) leaves you headroom to prevent clipping from your loud exhausts.

Recording STEREO lets me adjust each mic independently in the edit.

~ SETTINGS ~
Receiver: -12 dB
Transmitters (Mics): -12 dB
Low Cut Filter: ON
32Bit Float: ON
Recording mode: Stereo (NOT mono)

LOCATION of mics is important - the spots in the video are what works best for my RS3, it may be different for you. You might find placing it on your Numberplate works best!

Using Davinci Resolve, I duplicate the audio and then seperate it into 2 channels - so I can independently adjust intake & exhaust audio.
