An unforgettable day in the Bradley Department of ECE! We were honored to welcome back pioneer Dr. Theodore Rappaport for his special Fall 2026 seminar, "The Miraculous Birth of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science".

As the founder of Virginia Tech's MPRG, Dr. Rappaport laid the groundwork for today’s globally renowned Wireless @ Virginia Tech. Under current leadership, Wireless @ VT continues to drive massive global impact, leading the charge in wireless research and shaping the future of connectivity worldwide.

Thank you, Dr. Rappaport, for returning to campus to share these brilliant stories of invention with our students and faculty! 🧡 🦃 by @vt_ece

Hokies + the outdoors = the ultimate recipe for success! 🌲🥾

Our ECE department hikes are an amazing way to build community, make great friends, and create a strong support network outside the classroom. After an incredible time at the Cascades, we are keeping the momentum going with another hike at McAfee’s Knob, October 4 @ 11AM. by @vt_ece

A team of researchers from CEE, ECE, and the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine have developed a self-regenerating biosensor that can clean itself after being exposed to blood and other biological materials, allowing it to continuously detect signs of infection.

One day, this technology could be used to track infections, monitor healing, and give doctors a better picture of what's happening between appointments. man in lab by @vt_ece
