Happy Heavenly Birthday to my Mom, Toula!
She would have been 100 today, and I could only imagine the crankiness that would ensue if she was still here.

Toula was a firecracker and a force of nature, every bit of my being was carefully and sometimes forcefully cultivated by her(that’s part of being raised in a Greek household).

Not a day goes by when I don’t miss her, and sometimes laugh or cry when I remember the things she would do or say. I find the joy in my relationships with my nieces and nephews in which she also loved very much and overjoyed to have them in my life.

Extremely grateful and thankful to be in our home in Greece on this special day, and lit a Lambatha (very large candle in church) in her honor, and for the life she’s given me…

So fortunate to have been staying a stones throw away from Parc del Retiro (Madrid’s Central Park).

I loved my neighborhood so much and the ability to walk through this beautiful spot in the center of the city was nurturing and grounding.

Perfect timing…✨

Shooting in Madrid outside a hotel, workday wrapped up with plenty of time to hit the rooftop bar with some great people, sharing a memorable time witnessing the solar eclipse.

Couldn’t be more fortunate or grateful if I tried.

Full circle moment -
While working on a project in Madrid, I got a call to fly to Budapest on the weekend to glam up my longtime clients for an event. What happened next took me completely by surprise, this came right after my milestone birthday, and being back in Budapest after 21 years blew me away.
My career in film started there on my first full project “Underworld”.
The sensory memories came back, and I navigated through the city with ease.
Reflecting on all the good and bad things that’s happened in my life since I was there last.
And let me tell you, it’s been a lot!
Lessons that taught me and shaped me to the person that I am today.

I am grateful for so many aspects of my life, and the clarity that has only sharpened with time.

Being able to have the opportunity to revisit that pivotal point of my being, was extremely grounding and spiritually nourishing.

The connections were true and friendships that were forged I still have and value to this very day.
