Got to the Rockville Classic Car Show, 2026, fairly early this morning. It was pretty cold - not necessarily for Maryland, but for being so sudden a drop in temp. Regardless, it was a great gathering of like-minded VW air-cooled enthusiasts among a vast sea of classic cars from all over the world. All in all it was a pretty amazing day. Let’s do it again next year!

A preserved 1974 Sun Bug pulled Ahmed Shah back into the air-cooled world he thought he had left behind. After decades of moving around the globe and cycling through countless cars, he never expected to find a Sun Bug with only 23,000 miles and nearly every part still original. One Facebook Marketplace listing reopened a chapter he thought was closed. This survivor is a reminder of how the right Super Beetle can bring someone home again.
