Bio:

Adding some color into the mix really sets the mood, especially when you’re not expecting color during the monotone tech time we live in now. This shoot encapsulates the conspiracy, technology, and indifference filled world we live in now. Wrapped in aluminum foil we manipulated into flowers, our model showcases the general tone for the world we live in currently. A time where technology is our ruling monarch, we continue to yearn for the repair of the nature that’s being destroyed right in front of us. We are the ones with the solution, but continue to be the problem.

Color as Evidence

This shoot looks back to 60s–70s Black art and fashion an era where color functioned as language, resistance, and joy and places it against a contemporary world that increasingly favors neutral palettes, digital sameness, and facsimile over touch.

In modern fashion and media, color is often flattened: endlessly reproduced, filtered, replicated, losing its cultural weight in the process. Here, color is reasserted as something made, worn, and lived in.
