Our big roadtrip to go coexist with all the Vydra sisters in Traverse City, MI is now done.

Notes from the road:
Louisville Slugger Museum was way more incredible than we were expecting.
Curling is way harder than you think.
Vic has fully caught the fishing bug (caught his first smallmouth bass!)
And the Dunes in Indiana are amazing. by @vydra

Boring Summer Afternoons continue on.
Um, did you guys know we have an indoor skatepark DOWNTOWN? What the?

And that if you go @pinsmechco when nobody is there you might finally discover the FREE SKEEBALL THAT HAS BEEN HIDING THERE FOREVER!!??

Also, smoothies are expensive and make us full.

Fall Creek Falls Father’s Day Weekend ‘26 is in the books!
1) Vic (after NUMEROUS outings) caught his first fish. And then FIVE more!
2) We wore Wendy out so much, I thought she hated me for moment.
3) I fell down and hit my head on a rock. And became ‘that person’ everyone runs over to check. I was COMPLETELY fine. But VERY embarrassed.
4) Paul is the best husband and father you could ever ask for. And there’s nobody in the world I’d want to go on these adventures with.

Also notable: I did all this with incredible pain in my cervical spine. Long story short, still trying to find out what’s going on, but MRI isn’t giving many answers and I’ve been to the ER already for all the drugs.

Meeting w pain management next and getting an epidural soon. Next big step is an EMG. (Google at will).

I’m not great with posts, so here goes…Said goodbye to Tammy this weekend. 18 years is a great life. She’s been through so much with me: our time in Dallas, San Antonio, and Nashville…road trips…multiple apartments and homes…two new dogs…a big brother. Ever present in my meditation room, she’s probably already reincarnated as an enlightened being (or the spider i let go outside today). She passed away peacefully in my lap with her family around her. Couldn’t have asked for a better companion and a better way to say goodbye. i miss you terribly every moment of the day, but i know i’ll see you again in this life or the next. by @vydra

Crieve Hall Baseball Silver Bracket 8U CHAMPS!

Had to battle their way back through the loser’s bracket to do it. Which made it all the more sweet. These boys never give up. I had no idea the ride we were in for when we started baseball 4 years ago. WHAT?

Today is #localnewsday and before you roll your eyes, remember that the best way to know what’s happening is to have eyes and ears on the ground, in our neighborhoods.
There’s a lot of buyouts and layoffs happening in tv, radio, and newspapers/online media. The less local our news becomes, the less we can trust it.
Pay attention to what’s happening. This affects everyone.
