In true @denvershewrote fashion, I decided to get pampered last weekend, thanks to @vyletaaesthetics! Katie Hoss is the owner and esthetician that runs this sweet little shop inside the Phoenix Salon Suites in Littleton off Kipling.

Having graduated from Denver’s School of Botanical and Medical Aesthetics, Katie is honed in on making this more than just a typical facial, but a full relaxation experience with singing bowls, chakra balancing, gua sha… and we even did a fun tarot card reading before my treatment! It was absolutely fabulous.

I was also treated to a back scrub prior to my facial. This was amazing. It included an exfoliating scrub, mask and cupping to release stagnant blood. I left feeling so relaxed and at ease with beautiful glowing skin.

Not Yet Asleep

Midnight, and my mind won't clock out.

No ritual, just collapse — no exhale before the dark.

Then 3am, precise and uninvited, and I'm awake again.

Don't ask yourself, "how do I fall asleep?"

A client asked if I offer mobile services. I didn't… until that moment.

I took my botanical facials into the mountains. Treatment inside a cabin, wilderness all around, a pond just feet away. Fully immersed.

Now I'm offering this as a new service: immersive botanical facials in nature, for an individual client or a small women's retreat in Colorado.

I'm taking on only a few of these experiences, so each one stays personal and unhurried.
