POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Women’s college flag football didn’t begin with scholarships. It began with a vision — and that vision started in Florida.

Before varsity programs and national recognition, there were club teams competing simply for the love of the game. NIRSA competitions existed, mostly as recreational fall tournaments, while many talented teams were still searching for exposure and a real platform to compete.

As the sport began to grow and NAIA programs emerged, many club teams and new varsity programs still had no true home.

That’s why the W.C.F.F.L. was created.

True to its tagline: “A Platform for ALL.”

The WCFFL brought both club and varsity teams together to compete for a championship through spring competition and cross-divisional play — something that didn’t exist at the time.

Our goal was to create exposure and show the level of talent that existed across women’s college flag football. Programs once overlooked as “just club teams” were filled with athletes ready for the next level.

Today many of those programs are becoming varsity teams, and scholarships are becoming reality — something we believed would happen from the beginning.

Women’s college flag football is growing across the country.
But the origins of this movement matter.

Thank you to the coaches, players, and institutions who believed in the vision early.

Special thanks to FAU, UF, UCF, and UT, along with Coach CJ and Coach Jimmy, for supporting the league and advocating for their teams.

Much respect to Coach Mia. When the idea for the league came up, the response was simple: “Let’s do it.”

From our experience as former Broward players and through G2Wsportz, we pushed the vision forward and stayed true to the format — 7v7 and opportunity for all.

G2Wsportz is the birthplace of this movement.

Two former players.
One vision.

And the belief that women’s college flag football deserved more.

Let’s not rewrite history.
Let’s keep growing the game! #wcffl #g2wsportz #womenscollegeflagfootball #naiaflag #ncaaflagfootball by @w.c.f.f.l

This platform is build for ALL. Congrats to University of Florida 🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊When the narrative switches what will be said. Some will never have a chance to become champion. Some will repeat what others or saying . But if we dig deep who’s really creating a platform for ALL. God has a plan and it’s bigger than what your thought process can speak. Never underestimate what you can be apart of but choosing to not push a platform for ALL. Same style play competing for a championship on a collegiate level✊🏾💯✊🏾. Don’t get ahead of yourself that your words will make you look like a hater 🤷🏾‍♀️‼️💯🙏🏾‼️. You cannot stop god’s plan 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. We will never stop planting our seeds for success on and off the field‼️🔝. #D1womensflagfootball #wcffl #believeinyourself #believe #passion #passionforthegame #lovethegame #confidence #womenscoach #womencoachingwomen #nflflag #naia #keepitreal #954 #vision #purpose #godplan #godtime #femaleathlete #g2wsportz #femalesports #creatingaplatformforall #neverafollower #createyourownreality #hater #wegrind #success #successfulblackwomen #speakthetruth #fearwho by @w.c.f.f.l

🏆 The champions made a statement.
@miamiedisongirlsflagfootball

Caught up with Coach Vincent Hall of the Miami Edison Red Raiders Travel Team following a dominant performance representing the Liberty City Warriors. After a flawless showing, Coach Hall made one thing clear—the city should never forget who the reigning FHSAA Class 1A State Champions are.

The defense stood firm and didn't allow any Sharks drives to end in 6 points. The Sharks drove down the field, fiercely at many points but the Warriors gave us a flashback of their historic defensive performance from the Spring Flag football season, earlier this year.

From Liberty City to the state stage, the standard remains the same: excellence, discipline, and winning football.

🚨 PICK-6 ALERT 🚨 🎙️

#2 Jakaila Smith ATH Class of '27 reads it from the jump! 👀

Pressure up front forces the Sharks QB into a rushed throw over the middle, and Smith wastes no time breaking on the ball. She jumps the route, secures the interception, and turns on the jets. 💨

With her squad trailing by 12, Smith flips the momentum in an instant, taking it 37 yards TO THE HOUSE for six! 🏠🔥

A game-changing defensive play and a huge spark for her team when they needed it most.
