Meet OBSOLESCENCE. 🖤

Three dancers of different ages share the stage, their bodies narrating the inevitable transformation and the enduring memory of gestures.
Together, their movements weave a fragmented narrative
where the intimate meets the collective — and where beauty
arises from the tension between what fades, what persists
and what is passed on.
Technology becomes a playmate, a mirror, a counterpoint —
revealing invisible relationships between human and machine.
This is a deeply human story: the infinite capacity of living
beings to reinvent themselves. And to adapt to what they create.

It’s the moment something - or someone - is considered no longer useful.
Not broken. Not worn out.
Just… replaced by something newer.
It happens to phones, to systems, to technologies.
But what happens when it happens to the human body?

Gdzie konczy sie własne ciało, a zaczyna wpólnota?
Pamięć, odporność, wspólnota, organizm.
I pytanie o to, co dzieje się z nami, kiedy granica między tym, co własne, a tym, co obce, zaczyna się zacierać.
Dziękujemy wszystkim, którzy byli z nami wczoraj. Za obecność, uwagę i gotowość do wejścia w ten świat razem z nami.

Die Performance thematisiert den Wertverlust des Körpers in einer von Leistung und Erneuerung besessenen Gesellschaft unter dem Aspekt der sogenannten geplanten Obsoleszenz: Drei Tänzer*innen unterschiedlichen Alters teilen sich die Bühne. Ihre Körper erzählen von unvermeidlicher Verwandlung und der möglichen Erinnerung an gestische Ausdrucksformen. Gemeinsam erzeugen ihre Bewegungen eine fragmentierte Erzählung, in der das Intime auf das Kollektive trifft und Schönheit aus der Spannung zwischen dem Vergänglichen und dem Beständigen entsteht.

We will also be teaching a 3-hour workshop on Dance & Digital on 24.10.26 in Delémont with @evidanse.jura .

Busy season ahead, but we wouldn’t have it any other way!
