My first international running event 🇲🇾— 🇮🇩

A week before the race, I was having shin splints and still trying to recover. My husband took care of me. It was even swollen back then. Still, I wasn’t fully recovered the day before the race.
He kept telling me, “Kalau tak boleh finish, don’t force yourself.” I didn’t think much of it, didn’t realize it was just his way of using reverse psychology. He probably already knew I’d finish with a PB.

On race day, I tried not to push myself. But the crowd… it really humbled me. The cheers, the support, the performance and Orang Kampung was there, I felt so much love. I ended up just enjoying the moment, and somehow, I didn’t feel the pain anymore.
There was an elevation gain between KM 5 to 11, but I enjoyed it. I remembered everything I’d trained for with my husband/coach with no regrets, I finished with a PB!

My 2nd half marathon truly humbled me. It wasn’t just about chasing a personal best but it was about the journey, the tough days, the support I received, and the belief that carried me through. The past 3 months of training tested me in so many ways, but also shaped me.

The 5D4N trek to Annapurna Base Camp was anything but easy. With every step, the air grew colder, and each breath felt sharper in my lungs. The nights were long, restless, and bitterly cold testing both my body and my will. I never imagined myself hiking in such a harsh winter, far beyond the kind of cold I’m used to on my usual trips. Sleeping in a room with no heater at -12°C was an experience I’ll never forget. And yet, despite the discomfort and the challenge, it all felt deeply meaningful. It was a dream come true one that pushed me to my limits and left me with memories I’ll carry for a lifetime.

Grateful to share this journey with my amazing husband @farhanwmf all the beautiful photos are because of him & he kept encouraging me to keep going.

Do I regret it? No. But I probably won’t do ABC again in winter, maybe another season, maybe 10 years later?
