@sidewayzfilms was lucky enough to film with two of the best actors in wakeboarding before their professional acting careers took off. @chaseheavener and @mattstaker were both trained in Shakespearean theatre for many years. Obviously. The Location was Harley’s Bar in Kissimmee Florida.@brookswilliamferrell directed this Oscar nominated scene. The funny thing is we just showed up and ask the locals if we could film there. There were all about it. Shot with @kodak_shootfilm in 1999. I always wondered how Matt got his jet ski out from the weeds. He just said I’m gonna drive my jet ski into the weeds, and I was like”ok.” by @wakeboardingmag

@mcboatcompany “Surf to Save Lives” campaign is back for its fourth year, continuing its mission to support @stjude Children’s Research Hospital. After raising $225,000 over the past three years, MasterCraft is pledging another $75,000 this summer, turning every minute on the water into support for children battling cancer.How it works: From May 19 to September 30, MasterCraft will donate $1 to St. Jude for every minute of tow-time logged through the MasterCraft Connect App. Participation is open to all boaters (no MasterCraft required), and new for 2026, non-boaters can join by texting SURF to 626262.Led by childhood cancer survivor and former pro wakeboarder @alexascore, the campaign is about more than fundraising, it’s about making the most of moments that matter. The guy with the best laugh in the industry, @doylelife. Well some people might argue that title belongs to @tonyfinngoingbig @sidewayzfilms and Gator Boards teamed up to make Transgression that was released in 2007. It blows my mind to think that this was 19 years ago. It was our last full length wakeboard film. Thank you @eriklutgert for some of the best memories of my life. I think we all feel the same. In the beginning, there was straps and gloves and ski boards with pointy tips.This was an event called Team Challenge from 1994? It’s hard to remember anything before yesterday, but it was a long time ago before these guys were Grandparents! Hope you enjoy these early days of wakeboarding. This was from the film High Wake Drifters. It was a @sidewayzfilms and Gravity Films. Filmed by @brookswilliamferrell & @dvanzura back when they were a lot prettier. by @wakeboardingmag
