Thank you, wakeboarding. For the past 15 years, my life has completely revolved around this sport that has given me so much: personal growth, the reward of hard work, lifelong friendships, and even meeting my husband.

But most of all, I’m grateful for the chance to pursue my passion every single day for over a decade. To my family, friends, and sponsors—thank you for believing in me and supporting my non-traditional journey. You lifted me up after injuries and made every win that much sweeter. A special thanks to the Swedish Waterski and Wakeboard Federation for your support, and for the honor of representing the Swedish national team for this long. 💛🇸🇪💙

I’m excited to see what else life has to offer as I close this chapter as a competitive athlete. You can never take me completely off the board but I am excited to turn into what we call a ‘sunshine rider’ from now on.

Finally after 15 years as a pro wakeboarder, I got to try kiting! Here’s how it went:

Started off by getting a bit frustrated (of course because I have zero patience 💁‍♀️) that I couldn’t figure out how to control the kite.

But after about an hour of bodydragging and going over safety I somewhat got moving and it felt super similar to wakeboarding so what the heck 😜.

Even got to try some teeny tiny loads and I was obsessed! So.much.fun!

Then I tried to turn around and couldn’t quite get it…

But overall 10/10! If you’ve been thinking about trying it this is your sign. Thanks @realwatersports for such a fun experience! taken in Waves, North Carolina by @wakecarro

It’s 2016, wakepants is a thing and you’ve just signed the sponsor contract of your dreams with @slingshotwake and your first pro model board. One week later you tear your ACL. You shoot a whole welcome to the team edit without an ACL and get creative, stacking content with your friends in the Philippines before heading home to have 3 surgeries and recover for the next 14 months. Your dream sponsor supports you through it all and you continue to work together for 8 years. Now you’re a cool, old mom with lots of stories to tell your son one day.
