For the third consecutive year, Master of Science in Management students in Dr. Douglas Johnson’s Managing People and Organizations course put #ProHumanitate into action, building beds for children in need through the local nonprofit A Bed and a Book.

A Bed and a Book has partnered with #WFUSB on several occasions, and we’re always grateful to welcome them to Farrell Hall for a day of meaningful service. Once assembled, the beds are delivered, along with bedding and hand-selected books, to children in the community.

In addition to building beds, #MSM students were tasked with fundraising to support the nonprofit. Collectively, they raised more than $12,000 through their efforts. At the conclusion of the experience, students reflected on how these hands-on exercises strengthened their ability to manage and lead people and organizations.

#WFUSB faculty, staff, and a team from Allegacy Financial, also joined in the bed building, and in total, 32 children will receive a bed built right here at Farrell Hall. Thank you to our partners, including the Allegacy Financial Center for Leadership and Character, for helping make this day such an incredible success! by @wakeforestbiz

Meet Corinne Pace, a Business and Enterprise Management (BEM) major and Co-Chair of the Undergraduate Business Student Council (UBSC) at the Wake Forest University School of Business!

Corinne’s day kicks off with a morning run before heading to Farrell Hall for classes and a special celebration recognizing the hard work BEM students put into their summer internships. From there, she’s off to tackle more to-dos around campus, including working at the front desk @zsrlibrary, taking her senior portraits, leading a UBSC meeting and much more.

We’re proud to have Corinne as part of our #BizDeac community and love seeing her make the most of the many opportunities for learning, leadership and growth during her time at #WFU.

Follow along for a day in the life of Corinne! by @wakeforestbiz

During his recent visit to the Wake Forest University School of Business, former Secretary of the Army, the Honorable Dan Driscoll, spoke with the #WFU community about personal experiences that have shaped his outlook on leadership, the importance of building trust and the values of a good leader, as well as the individuals who have shaped his personal and professional journey.

Among his reflections, Driscoll shared two qualities he believes are key for the rising generation as they step into leadership roles: the drive to make a difference wherever they are and assuming the best intentions of those around them.

We’re grateful for the time Driscoll shared with the #WFU community and for the wisdom he emphasized: that a good leader leaves goodness wherever they go. We're additionally grateful to Allegacy Financial Center for Leadership and Character at #WFUSB, to the Department of Military Science, and to #WFUSB Professor Ben King, who organized and spearheaded this impactful visit! by @wakeforestbiz

Braden Reeder and Sara Champion are current Wake Forest Business students, but before they began their #MSA and #MSM experiences, they attended Future in Focus to get a preview of what life would be like as #BizDeacs.

Among the highlights of their immersive weekend was the opportunity to begin building relationships with faculty and hear firsthand experiences from current students. They found the beginnings of a community that truly cared about their well-being and wanted #WFUSB to feel like home.

We’re excited to welcome another group of college juniors and seniors to Farrell Hall from October 23-24 to learn about our #MSA, #MSBA and #MSM programs, while also building community and getting a firsthand taste of life as a #BizDeac.
