↕️ LEVELS IN TARRAXO (attention to the key tip below)

By changing levels (0, -1, or +1), you completely transform the flow and energy of the couple:

▪️ Level 0: Natural and neutral position.
▪️ Level -1: Bent knees and a lower center of gravity.
▪️ Level +1: Ankle elevation and a higher center of gravity.

💡 Key Tip! Don’t make the mistake of dancing in Level -1 the entire time just to force knee bend and constant leg connection.

The contrast between levels is what makes the dance rich and dynamic. Listen to the music, connect with your partner, and decide what level each moment calls for.

📌 Save this post to keep it in mind for your next practice!

LEVELS IN TARRAXO

Same movement doesn’t always mean the same dance... 👀 So, what changed?!

Sometimes, the difference isn’t the movement itself.
It’s how you listen to the music.

🎶 That’s where musicality comes in.
Did you hear the difference?

El mismo movimiento no siempre significa el mismo baile. 👀 Entonces…

¿Has escuchado la diferencia?

Tarraxo dancers… what changes here?? 👀

Is it a weight change, a level change, both… or neither?
What do you feel is happening? 👇

Watch it again… slowly. 😉

Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference.

Tarraxo… but make it a comic. 🎬📖

Tarraxo is more than just a basic step. There’s a lot behind the way we dance: the foundation, the movement, the connection… and most importantly, the intention behind every movement.

In this comic, we break down some of the Essentials of Tarraxo:
→ Why the basic step matters
→ Tarraxinha vs. Tarraxo
→ The importance of inward movement, strength & presence
→ Why intention changes everything
→ And how posture + tarraxinha + connection = Tarraxo

Because knowing the steps is one thing.
Understanding what’s behind them is another.

How many of these essentials are already part of your dance? 👀

🚀 ADVANCED MOVES START WITH THE BASICS

We all want to learn more: more variations, more difficult movements, more possibilities…

But sometimes, the thing keeping you from progressing isn’t the next advanced move you need to learn.
It’s the foundation underneath it!

Going back to the basics doesn’t mean going backwards. It means building the control, connection and awareness that allow you to handle more complex movements with confidence.

These are 5 foundations we believe can make a huge difference in your evolution:

🧍 POSTURE - balance, control & freedom to move.
🤝 CONNECTIONS - clarity and precision.
🔥 TARRAXINHA - precision through small movements.
🎯 BODY CONTROL - more control, more possibilities.
🧩 TOOLS - more ways to express and create.

And remember: you can absolutely train advanced movements while continuing to work on your basics. In fact, combining both can accelerate your progress.

If a movement keeps feeling difficult, don’t just practice it over and over.
Stop and ask yourself: “What foundation am I missing?”

Sometimes the fastest way forward is to go back to the basics. ❤️‍🔥

Train smart. Build your foundations. Then take your dancing further.

You’re probably doing this thinking it shows how well you can dance… 👀

You don’t need to show everything you know all the time!
Sometimes, less movement, more control and more musicality can make your dancing say so much more.

🇪🇸
