فرحانة وفخورة جدًا إن «ثانية واحدة» بياخد أول خطوة في رحلته، بعرضه العالمي الأول ضمن المسابقة الدولية للدورة الـ45 من مهرجان أوبسالا الدولي للفيلم القصير.

Being my first film as a director, it holds a very special place in my heart, and it feels incredibly special to see it leave our hands and meet an audience for the first time. ✨

Downtown Cairo has a sound I know by heart ,
the creak of old wooden elevators,the slide of black iron doors,balcony fences breathing with the wind. And then the Azan rises ,cutting through traffic horns, footsteps, engines,mixing the sacred with the everyday.
And somewhere in between,
the voice of Umm Kulthum plays endlessly
from cafés, taxis, workshops and open windows.
Sounds that stretch time
and make the city feel suspended.
These memories turn into texture for me: patina browns, sculptural blacks,
silhouettes that carry the weight of old stone façades.
Downtown has a scent too
ahwa, tobacco, warm marble staircases.That atmosphere becomes form: earthy surfaces, raw edges,
clothes that feel lived in, not styled.
This is how I read the city.
