I didn’t start this 10-day detox to learn something new.

I started it wanting to rediscover things I had already learned.

This wasn’t my first rodeo. 😊

For years, my focus has been on strength, longevity, and taking care of my health. Those goals haven’t changed.

What changed… was menopause.

Even though I stayed committed to healthy habits, I found myself feeling frustrated because the scale simply wasn’t responding the way it used to. I wasn’t looking for a quick fix - I was looking for a reset.

Not because I needed another diet…

But because I wanted to reconnect with habits that I already knew made me feel my best.

The real wins:

💚 Healthy food doesn’t have to be boring.

💚 Planning ahead makes healthy choices easier.

💚 A restaurant meal doesn’t have to derail your progress.

💚 Leftovers can become another balanced meal.

💚 Trying something new (hello, air-fried tofu! 🙌) keeps healthy eating fun.

💚 Movement doesn’t have to be perfect to count.

💚 Healthy meals can simply become everyday meals.

💚 Rediscovering that I already had the tools, I just needed to reconnect with them.

This wasn’t about being perfect for 10 days. It was about rebuilding momentum and reminding myself that consistency still matters - even when the journey looks different than it used to.

This detox didn’t change who I am. It reminded me who I already am.

I’m not trying to go backward. I’m learning how to move forward - with the knowledge I’ve gained over the years and a better understanding of what my body needs now.

I wasn’t on a diet… I was just detoxing like a foodie. 💚🍽️ by @walelivinglife

💭 Today’s Thought

Before I started this 10-day detox, I made myself one promise…

No boring meals.

If I’m going to do this, I’m still going to eat like a foodie.

I mean… c’mon! I just made myself sushi! 😁🤭

Instead of focusing on what I can’t have, I’m challenging myself to recreate some of my favorite flavors using fresh, wholesome ingredients.

✨ Today’s Win

I’m realizing healthy doesn’t have to mean bland… it just takes a little creativity in the kitchen.

I’m actually having fun with this, and I can’t wait to see what I create next.

Today Yamil’s 2026 class received their clap-out at school, and papi & mami had to do the same when he got home!! The celebration was almost immediately followed by an ER visit due to asthma- but we are back home and getting better which is what matters- 🫶🥹🙏 by @walelivinglife
