"iji is the long-living, flexi-musical output project of West Coast, D.I.Y. pop eccentric, Zach Burba. Since 2004 Zach has released countless records, tapes, and CDs that exist on a wide sound spectrum, from studio soft-rock to exploratory bedroom lo-fi, always centered on song and vision. The releases tend to oscillate between the direct themes that attempt to lay bare hard-to-name emotions clouding Burba's brain, and a more far-out, dream-poem-stream-of-other-world. The highway and its gas stations, the inner "wild music", the foggy thoughts, language failure, radical screeds, social desires, and culinary dreams are all in play in the big iji songbook."
