Some wedding-day opinions come from preference. Ours come from nearly two decades of actually being there. 🤝

So, here are a few wedding hills we’ll die on:

If you want photo + video, hire the same team. One team, one timeline, one approach, and no competing for moments.

There’s no filter that creates “candid” photos. Candid comes from knowing where to be, what to watch for, and when to click.

Your wedding is not a photoshoot. You shouldn’t have to disappear from your own wedding for hours to get incredible photos.

Your experience matters more than your Instagram feed. Great photos matter, but so does knowing how to handle rain, delays, missing family members, and changing timelines.

Doing a first look makes your wedding day infinitely easier. More time together, less rushing, and a better chance you actually get to enjoy cocktail hour.

Family photos should take 15 minutes. 30 max for big families. A good list and an organized photographer keep things moving so everyone can get back to celebrating.

You planned a wedding to live it.

Vania + Jey at the Hall of Springs. 🤍

Jey spent portraits proudly informing every passerby in Saratoga State Park, “THIS IS MY WIFE!” Later, Vania took over the DJ booth and the dance floor later went completely feral 😂🪩🕺

Somewhere in between, we got a whole lot of golden light, a romantic heartfelt ceremony by the reflecting pool, and one very beautiful wedding day.
