Behind the scenes of “The Greatest,” Muhammad Ali’s official biopic, with Muhammad playing himself and a song written for the film that Whitney Houston would later turn into a certified classic.

In most Ali stories, you rarely see the full Champs Crew in them. But in this one, they’re all there and my Dad is front and center next to the Champ, playing himself. Ali picked this cast himself and it’s the only scripted Ali project with the entire crew in it. Which of course, will forever remain special to me.

Excited to see what MBJ and crew do with their version of “The Greatest.” Because Ali’s career is big enough that every generation gets to find its own way into it.

Btw, we’re actually working on something with the last living member of the Champs Crew and we wait to share it with y’all.

LaTavia Roberson, LeToya Luckett, Beyoncé Knowles, Jazen Anderson (the author) & Kelly Rowland backstage on “The Evolution Tour” circa 1998 - (photo by Alphonso Morris)

This is one of those photos that will never not be a core memory for me. It also underscores the reason why WWL even exists. I had an unforgettable summer with these ladies. Especially Kelly, we had a big sis/lil’ bro relationship. None of this would have even been possible without my Dad. My life has been a blessing, because I grew up with amazing parents that put me into some amazing situations.

On the surface level, it will seem like I’m telling you a story about a cool ass Dad/bodyguard/photographer, but at the core of this entire project, it’s really just a son really missing his father. Grief is a strange thing, but instead of running from it, I figured I’d take it head-on, in the hopes that storytelling can also be a form of healing.

Thank you all for being on this journey with us, I truly appreciate all of the follows, likes, comments and shares. 🙏🏽

Dallas Cowboys legend Drew Pearson on a football field with Sugar Ray Leonard. Mr. Clutch showing one of the Four Kings how things go on his turf, circa 1983.

Turns out there’s a story behind this one. This was an HBO shoot for the debut episode of “Sugar Ray’s All Stars,” Ray’s sports show, with Drew joining him alongside the junior varsity football team from his former high school.

Normally I search the names in the photo first and per usual, nothing came up. Then I randomly found an old HBO press photo on eBay and the day finally had some context. It’s always nice to piece together new stories from the past. (We do not own the rights to the 2nd photo.)

James DeBarge, Janet Jackson (holding a little chihuahua) and friends in the stands at a softball game her brothers threw after “The Victory Tour” to celebrate how much of a success it was.

I’d love to tell you more about this day because I was there, along with my family, but I was also one year old. 😭

Lake Lugano, captured in 1985. This is hands down my favorite Cityscape photo that my Dad had taken.

Now I have an intrinsic mission to revisit some of the amazing places that he’d been in his life, because he made some of them look as if I’d be missing something special if I never got to see them in person.

I’ll get there one day…

My Pops in 1986, on a plane, taking a selfie before anybody called them selfies.

Everybody who knew him knew those eyes.

Marlon Jackson on set of @thejacksons “Body” video, Los Angeles, CA, circa 1984.

This video will forever hold a special place with my family, because it’s the video my Dad’s makes a cameo in…🚁

Donna Summer performing on stage, circa late 1970s.

She had such a special bond with my Dad’s lens. 📸
