This month is all about colors. I love warm colors, and this rainbow glowing in a golden hour storm needed to shared.

“Rustle, rustle, autumn’s here. So wander in the magic, and keep hope near.” - Angie Weiland-Crosby

It’s autumn and magic is in the air. The leaves rustle in the winds. It is a time for wonder, for journeys, for wandering. We may not be able to stop the hands of time; change is inevitable, and never more is this seen than in the autumn season. The leaves drift on the wind, and autumn whispers, “I fall but always rise again.”

Week 37 - Monochromatic

This month is all about colors. Not gonna lie, I pulled this from the archives because I didn’t have time to shoot much the last few weeks. Nothing special but the theme is done ✅

Week 36 - Analogous colors

This month is all about colors. This is the hardest one for me to see while I’m out shooting. Holly suggested a sunset gradient would work out so I kept my eye out while shooting a few sunsets. Once I downloaded it and popped the image into the Adobe color wheel I confirmed it was the right color combination.

World Suicide Prevention Day. No matter how dark it is, there is always light to be found. 🫶🏻

Suicide Prevention 🎗We observe #WorldSuicidePreventionDay each year on September 10. Every 40 seconds someone takes their own life. That’s about 800,000 people worldwide every year— although some estimates put that number closer to 1 million.

🎗We come together today to raise awareness and reduce the stigma around suicide. It’s okay to discuss suicide. In fact, open and caring conversations can prevent the feelings of isolation that often lead to suicide. Reach out and check in on people you care about.

🎗If you are struggling, please know there are people who care and support you.

🎗Help spread awareness by using the hashtag #togsforsuicideprevention

🎗If you or someone you know is in crisis, please visit this website to find a helpline in whichever country you reside.

I really enjoyed these clouds the other week. Felt they deserved their own space on the grid.

Week 35 - Complementary colors

This month is all about colors. I love our fiery orange skies paired with the blue water/clouds. The rain band on the left really made me happy this night. We’ve had some beautiful welcome back to Fall skies lately. And I say Fall because the summer skies here tend to be clearer and less dramatic. So when the dramatic sunsets start ramping up again I know the season is changing here!

The next in the 3 part photo series this week from an amazing stormy sunset last week. Head to my page to see how the storm approached. I’ll also add a video in my stories. I got absolutely smacked by the short storm shortly after taking this photo. But it was to other worldly there to care.

Week 34 - Landscape

Our last week of genre sampling finally put me back in my wheelhouse. Mother Nature understood the assignment and delivered a quick moving storm during golden hour. You can see the bands of rain coming down inside the storm cloud. I love all the different elements. Sun beams, a reflection, the scale of the storm clouds using the lighthouse. And yes, I did get soaked.

More coming from this night!
