📍 King John’s Castle, Limerick, Ireland

When walking around the site these are some mental notes I took: The castle, built in the 13th Century, was built on the orders of King John; although he never lived in or visited the site. The remains of a Viking settlement from the 920s were discovered during archeological excavations of the site in (or around) the 1900s.

📍 Bunratty Castle, Ireland

Forgot to take my usual videos at this location but wanted to include this castle in my Ireland tour. This is a 15th Century castle which lies on land that was originally a Viking trading ground in 970.
