Heartbreaker 💔

Selkie of the sea 🌊 ✨🪄

Selkies are mythological shapeshifters from Celtic and Norse folklore—particularly prominent in the Orkney and Shetland Islands of Scotland and along the coast of Ireland. In the water, they appear as ordinary seals. On land, they shed their seal skins to reveal irresistibly beautiful humans. The Core Legend and ThemesThe most famous selkie story involves a human man who stumbles upon selkie women dancing naked on the beach. Enamoured, the man steals and hides one of their seal skins. Without it, the selkie is trapped on land and compelled to marry the thief. Though she may bear children by her human husband, she constantly longs for the ocean. Years later, if she discovers where her skin is hidden, she will immediately abandon her human life and return to the sea.

Love ❤️
