It’s a once-a-month meetup for anyone who wants to hang out and do crafts together while enjoying the yummy food and drinks from Hop River! Every month on the second Wednesday. I finished a sweater for myself! It only happens once every few years so allow me to brag about it for a minute. Pattern was “Valentine Candy” by Anke Telschow and yarn was many colors of Madeline Tosh High Twist DK from @simplysocksyarnco ! I am very happy with how the fit came out and the pattern was easy enough to follow. Only annoyance was the number of loose yarn ends I had to deal with 😅. All in all I’m really excited to have this done and wear it! (Of course it’s going to be 80 out this week) The fun tag is from @shelli.can ! by @wallabyknits

Friendly reminder that Crafts & Drafts is coming up next week, Wednesday May 13th from 7-9pm at @hopriverbrewing ! Everyone is welcome, any sort of craft, and the taproom is all ages! We would love to see you there. It’s very casual, just a way to socialize with other cool people in person. ☺️ Crafts & Drafts is every second Wednesday of the month, so for June it will be on the 10th and for July the 8th! If it’s nice we will sit outside on Hop River’s lovely patio!☀️ by @wallabyknits

I just wanted to give you all a sneak peak into our monthly Crafts & Drafts group! For March we had a great turnout and I wanted to document it and celebrate all these lovely folks. We even needed a second table!!!! (Swipe). Thank you to anyone who has ever come to hang out with me, I have met so many cool people and enjoyed doing crafts together. It’s almost the 8th anniversary of the first Crafts & Drafts so I’ll have to plan something fun for next month! If you didn’t know our meetup is always the second Wednesday of the month from 7-9pm at @hopriverbrewing . 2025 Crafts & Drafts roundup!!!!! If you didn’t know, I help facilitate a monthly crafting meetup on the second Wednesday of every month at @hopriverbrewing (7-9pm). This year there was an unofficial trend of folks crafting (or bringing) “little guys”- fun little critters or characters that have become beloved mascots of the group. Ha! It’s really fun to make something small! Here’s a smattering of lil guys that made it to crafts and drafts, including my contribution of Steve Le Poisson on slide 2. We also had several delicious treats shared from the amazing bakery @goodbreadforall , one of them in the last slide! Here is to another year of gathering and crafting and sharing stories with each other. I hope if you are someone who has been interested in attending that you join us! Cosplay post! My partner and I were lucky enough to score tickets to the @critical_role live show in Indianapolis the other week. It was a magical experience and I am so grateful we could go. I thought it would be fun if we did some “light” cosplay and my partner and I decided he would go as the character Chetney from their third campaign (mostly because he already had a tshirt but also because he can do woodworking too!) I found this pattern ages ago on Ravelry and with a quick trip to @simplysocksyarnco was able to find the perfect yarn- @malabrigoyarn Mecha. I cast on on Sunday and had it done with plenty of time to be worn on that Saturday! Was thinking about my favorite knits I made for the kids when they were little and whipped up these kid hat and fingerless mitt sets! What do ya think???☺️ The hat was a stretchy option that despite being labeled an “adult small” I remember fitting my kids from age 2-6! Finished this hat and gave it to my dear friend in exchange for her buying me some @icingforizaac cheesecake. Definitely a fair trade!!!😍 Yarn is Hedgehog Fibers DK in color “kelp” from @simplysocksyarnco . Pattern is called “classic Fisherman’s Beanie” by Shay Anderson (available on Ravelry).
