When your parents start talking about puppies and you've got a birthday coming up! From "Die Holderstebolde Hondepartyjie" by @de_wet_hugo, published by @nbpublishers

Work and life and stuff has kept me from posting a lot for a while but I've got a bunch of artwork that I've done over the past year or so that I'd like to share. And since this book recently won us an award, what better place to start.

Have a great day everyone

We won! A nice surprise on a Tuesday morning to have won an ATKV Woordveertjie for my illustrations for "Die holderstebolder hondepartytjie" with author @de_wet_hugo . Thanks very much to the @atkv_sa as well as @sim1.boeke at @nbpublishers by @wallaceillus

Happy #kidlitartpostcard day!
I love working in black and white. This is an older piece I hadn’t shared yet for some reason.

Happy #kidlitartpostcard day! I'm taking the opportunity to introduce you to 2 of my favourite characters I've drawn this year, Skippy and Zoom. The story is by Louise Kruger and I worked on this together with @full_circle_graphic_design for the @cadbury_sa Homegrown Stories Campaign

It's been a helter-skelter couple of months but I can finally show you my cover artwork for "Die Holderstebolder Hondepartytjie" (roughly translated to the "The Helter-Skelter Dog Party) by @de_wet_hugo and @nbpublishers

Many thanks to @sim1.boeke and De Wet for being so awesome to work with on this project

Adding to the love for @lukhanyo_12 after that fantastic #RSAvNZL tour. This was artwork for the Brightrock Player's Choice Awards in 2021 where he won Defender of the year, but as we've seen there's plenty more in his arsenal. It's been such a pleasure watching him grow over the years from the Southern Kings days to now being widely regarded as one of the best players in the world. Thank you Lukhanyo!

Happy #kidlitartpostcard day!
It may sound like a lame excuse, but what if a lion really DID eat your homework?
