The best fountain-pen setup is the one that fits how you write✒️

If your pen travels everywhere with you, convenience may matter most. If you love experimenting with colour, bottled ink might be worth the extra step.

One important detail: cartridges and converters aren’t universal, so always check which type is compatible with your pen!

Not sure what you need? Bring your fountain pen to Wallack’s and our team can help you find the right match!

Ever spent ages drawing one hand, only to realize the whole pose feels a little off? ✏️

Patricia’s advice: give yourself permission to sketch loosely first. A few simple lines can help you find the movement of the pose before you commit to the details.

Save this tip for your next drawing session!

Travel memories don’t always come home as photographs. 🌍

Our customers brought this beautiful painting home from a trip to Cameroon and trusted our Custom Framing team to prepare it for display.

The canvas was carefully aligned, stretched and secured over wooden stretcher bars, giving it the proper support and tension it needs.

Have a rolled or unstretched canvas waiting at home? Bring it to Wallack’s, and our framing team will help you give it a place on the wall.

🎨 Meet Diana Quilarque, one of the artists and educators behind our classes at Wallack’s!

With over 26 years of experience in oil and watercolour painting, Diana brings strong technical knowledge and a thoughtful, expressive approach to the classroom.

Her work is rooted in realism and inspired by light, movement and emotion. Diana describes her approach as “feeling and making feel” , creating from an emotional connection and hoping the viewer can feel something through the finished piece too.

That same philosophy shapes her teaching. She encourages students to build strong foundations, understand why things work, and gain the confidence to experiment and develop their own artistic voice.
