Week 25🇳🇱

Coach Nathan Hunt
Head Coach | Netherlands Men’s National Team Field & Sixes

From helping his former high school coach during college summers to leading the Netherlands on the international stage, Coach Nathan’s 16-year coaching journey has taken him quite a few places!

What started as a way to stay connected to lacrosse grew into something much bigger.

As a player at Lehigh University, one of his favorite memories was winning the Patriot League Championship against Colgate and earning a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

As a coach, walking into the opening ceremony of the 2023 World Championships in San Diego with his team is a moment he’ll never forget.

Now, as the newly named head coach of both Dutch men’s national programs, Nathan is helping grow the game and develop the next generation of players in the Netherlands. 🇳🇱

👑 Fun fact: According to Nathan, one of his ancestors tried to assassinate the King of England hundreds of years ago! 😳

💬 Show Coach Nathan some love below!

🥍🌎 MICHIGAN LACROSSE GOES INTERNATIONAL! 🇺🇸

Meet Grayson Archangeli, a senior at Midland High School who’s been playing lacrosse for 12 years!

Grayson has been selected as a 2027 USA Student Athlete World Ambassador and will be heading to Portugal and Spain next June to compete internationally at the Lisboa Lacrosse Cup! 🇵🇹

And talk about dedication! 🥶 Grayson has even shoveled snow off the turf in -6° weather just to get some extra reps in!

His advice to younger players?

💬 “You need to have the proper mindset of growing and learning in order to become a Dawg.”

Congrats, Grayson! What an awesome opportunity to represent Michigan lacrosse on the international stage! 👏🥍

Happy 15th Birthday, Garrett! ❤️🥳

You’re growing into such an incredible young man, and I couldn’t be prouder of you! Love you! ❤️

🥍 In lieu of gifts, consider supporting Garrett’s lacrosse team! @wlunitedlax is a fully self-funded program, so every little bit helps keep these boys doing what they love! 😏 taken in Walled Lake Northern High School by @walledlakelax

Week 24

Coach Ken “Coach B” Brubaker

313 Select

For Coach B, coaching started with a simple decision to volunteer.

He began with a local recreational program in 2001, and that first step became more than 25 years of coaching.

Since then, he has helped countless players develop their skills, continue their careers, and reach the college level.

His experience includes more than 700 games coached, over 300 games played, and approximately 250college commitments from his program.

But after all those games and accomplishments, his favorite memories remain personal.

Watching his sons play lacrosse in high school and college has meant more than any number or milestone.

Because even after decades of coaching, family remains at the heart of the game.

📊 By the numbers: 700+ games coached, 300+ games played, and 250 college commitments.

A little personal post from behind Walled Lake LAX. 🥍💙

This is my son’s high school team Walled Lake United Lacrosse and they’re hosting their biggest fundraiser of the season.

WLU is fully self-funded and receives no funding from Walled Lake Consolidated Schools, so every bit of support helps.

Join us November 14 at Wonderland Lanes for bowling, pizza, raffles and prizes! 🎳

Can’t make it? You can still donate.

Scan the flyer to register or support the team. 💙

Week 23

Coach Taylor Brooks

Prosper Lacrosse

For Coach Taylor, coaching became another way to continue his passion for the game.

He began his coaching career in 2013 as the offensive coordinator at Sam Houston State University.

Over the past 13 years, his focus has grown far beyond what happens on the field.

Some of his proudest moments come from watching his players become successful young men and seeing their hard work continue to pay off.

Winning a state championship with the team in 2026 was a close second.

Because championships are special, but the lasting impact of coaching is often found in the people the players become.

🏆 Fun fact: Coach Taylor was the first native Texan to score in an NCAA lacrosse national championship game, playing for Le Moyne against C.W. Post in 2010.

Week 22

This week, 52 Coaches goes international. 🇳🇱

Coach Daniël Sterenborg
Grassroots Lacrosse

For Coach Daniël, growing the game started with a bundle of sticks and a public park.

He simply walked outside, introduced people to lacrosse, and began creating opportunities for others to learn the sport.

Thirteen years later, that grassroots beginning has grown into coaching players, building programs, and helping introduce lacrosse throughout the southwestern Netherlands, including Zeeland and North Brabant.

Through Grassroots Lacrosse, that work reaches schools and communities through clinics, youth programs, training, and efforts to help new clubs get started.

Some of his favorite experiences have taken him beyond the Netherlands too, playing Sixes at the Germany Lacrosse Convention, preparing with Luxembourg Lacrosse for EuroLax Sixes, and watching new players realize just how quickly the game can be learned with the right coaching.

For Coach Daniël, every new player who picks up a stick is another opportunity to grow the game.

🌍 Fun fact: Coach Daniël enjoys trying new sports, including basketball, baseball, softball, canoe polo, and trail running.
