New diptych, mixed media on linen, each panel 36" x 48".

This work continues a shape that runs through much of my Walletmoth painting practice: the silhouette of the Virgin of Guadalupe, reimagined as ghosts and spirits. That form goes back to Mexico, where my painting career began. It also doubles as something more personal. The hooded outline echoes the skate and snowboard crews I came up with, a nod to my past life in the standing sideways culture.

Two panels, one lineage: faith, memory, and the ghosts that follow us from one life into the next.

Painting Paula.
The 5th in my series capturing young adults facing a chaotic planet, left behind by older generations. She holds a skull that doubles as a crystal ball; her pose is relaxed, but you can see the anger underneath.

“Thermal Logging Cult PNW” 48” x 96”. Mixed Media on Canvas. 2026. I don’t remember a British Columbia without wilderness, but I do remember one with more room to breathe. Decades of relentless expansion have left people and wildlife negotiating the same shrinking landscape. These paintings are less about conflict than coexistence after the boundaries have disappeared. *The collisions are not failures of nature.
