As many postseason awards come out, the recognition that our TEAM has received must be noted. As it was a year of ups and downs at different points, we had a wonderful group of young men who came to play and get better each day!
Our team earned two sportsmanship awards this season. These awards are voted on and nominated by other coaches throughout our class, section, and greater Hudson Valley area! For the same team to earn two sportsmanship awards in the same season is a true testament to their character and respect for the game.
Through the Basketball Coaches Association of New York (BCANY), our boys earned the sportsmanship award in Section 9 Class AA, as voted upon by all of the other coaches in our class.
Through the Dutchess County Basketball Coaches Association (DCBCA) our team was selected to receive the Jules Eurillo Spirit and Sportsmanship Award, highlighting their respectful behavior and sportsmanship while playing with a high level of school spirit an enthusiasm.
It is an honor to coach these young men and to see their growth as people is a reason why we coach. We look forward to our upcoming offseason to continue to grow as a team and build on this past season! taken in Wallkill Senior High School by @wallkillhoops
