An Island Reimagined Wall by Wall

What was once familiar became something new.

Across Pulau Tidung, artists took over walls and everyday spaces, turning them into murals that now live alongside the island’s daily rhythm.

Join us at JICAF on 3 October 2026 as moments from our time in Pulau Tidung come to the screen.

Following the screening, Pesisir Talks brings @hardthirteen & @gemseptian.jas together for a conversation on art, the coast, and the stories behind the project.

See you there!

*OCEAN MUTANTS*

In the deep, there are the apex predators: The ferocious Shark and the deadly Electric Eel.

But the sea is no longer the same. The poison we dump, the plastic we throw away, has changed them.
They are mutations, the wrath of a polluted ocean. Monsters we created ourselves.

From the police station to boats, we found new canvases across Pulau Tidung.

Different surfaces, different stories, all brought to life by the hands of the artists.

Take a look at the marks we left across Pulau Tidung.

A special thank you to all the artists:

We take it beyond the paint, with mangrove planting and marine-life release along the way. 🌱🌊

Grateful to be part of this journey. We’re not only creating art, but also giving back to the environment and the community 💚
