Almost a year ago, I had the incredible honor of winning the Sony Alpha Female microgrant for fine art photography—a milestone I’m endlessly proud of! It’s wild that I’ve never shared this image on its own until now, but here it is:

#OnlyTheCurious #NorthLoopStudio #SonyAlphaFemale #SonyPhotographers #PhotographyInspo #ArtPhotographers #VisualStorytelling #DreamyVibes #StudioCreatives #PhotoCollab A fine art photograph of a model painted in metallic gold, embodying Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. She is adorned with a halo-like headpiece and delicate draped fabrics in soft pink hues. The background is dark and moody, with gold floral accents, giving a modern yet classical feel inspired by Renaissance art. The model’s pose is expressive, reaching upwards as if bathed in divine light. taken in Minneapolis, Minnesota by @wallymahnke

I pull away to face the pain
I close my eyes and drift away
Over the fear that I will never find
A way to heal my soul
And I will wander 'til the end of time
