Took the occasion of a new album to go long on how I think the future of all of this looks much more communities of friends and families supporting one another than measuring ourselves by metrics that are growing more meaningless by the day :: it’s hard to release music, and it’s easier than ever :: it’s hard to trust that what you made is even any good :: yet music has and will remain the way I can try to say anything to my friends (and strangers on the internet) when I feel I’m not too eloquent otherwise - it’s my way to say what I really mean :: album is out today, Bandcamp, Apple Music etc :: thanks for listening, it’s always a sincere gift that anyone listens 💚 taken in Atlanta, GA by @walrusmuse

The first music video from Partial Views is a song called “Polyglossal” - hope you like polymetric synth marimba and Husserl references - you can find the video in proper widescreen on YouTube via the link in my bio - also a great spot to pre order the new LP! taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @walrusmuse

“Hand-mind is heart-work” as @austinkleon might say :: World’s a mess, let’s stay weird - leapmotion sensor makes a little universe, and you try to move gravity around a bit inside it :: essential tools here from @c74connect @fruitlessresearch @feltinstruments @ableton @ccdrumco :: but it’s always best to just use whatever you have around you, a new piece of gear or plugin isn’t worth as much as your brain and your time: spend it making something, anything, the world needs it taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @walrusmuse

happy that @ableton Move has time signatures now - although it always kinda did - before Move 2.1 I admit I liked hopping into Loop Mode and subtracting 16n as needed to get to various time signatures - made me think I was good at math despite my lived experience…anyways here’s something in 7 taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @walrusmuse
