12-07-26 @dither_band playing at @hopeandanchorlive. Really fun set. We got to try a new song, which was sounding 🌀🌀🌀 and play our debut single, which is out now. Tried the Ricky for the first time live too 🔥 and it did not disappoint. 07-09-25 @lsdandthesearchforgod_ at @roughtradeeast. Love this band and are inspiration for my writing in @dither_band. Sounded amazing on the night and being a complete nerd, I had to go see their gear at the end of the gig. Fat case for a fat man 🫡. Speaking of which, the bulky case holds this weird specimen AKA The Shit Box. Think the previous owner converted it from a jazz guitar initially to a #12stringguitar. Interesting chat the other week with @simonreynoldswriter discussing his recent book with @berenyi_miki (of @lushbandofficial) discussing a period of music I personally find v interesting. First came across Lush on a YouTube playlist few years back (see pic 4) and discovered many cool tunes of there’s. Particularly love the use of 12 string guitars in their songs (studio and live). #roughtrade #shoegazer #lushband #bookpromotion #noiserock by @walrusofpeckham

Going all the way back to 2024 seeing @rideox4official at @hackney.church hosted by @soniccathedral playing the entirety of their 1992 reading set - “Vapour Trail” and “Nowhere” were my favs from the set. The visuals by @innerstrings were unreal too, really took the gig to another level with the music 🌀. These guys are another big influence for my songwriting in @the_draize & @dither_band. Really want to see these guys live again. Particularly love their use of rickenbacker guitars as well 🎸. @chapterhouse.official you were bloody brilliant back in April at @islington_ah. Great crowd, great sound, plus @rachelgoswell (@slowdiveofficial) came on to support on vox for their song “Pearl”! The tour was celebrating 35 years of “Whirlpool” and it’s tricky to pick a favourite song from the album; lots of great tunes. These guys are big inspiration for me and was bucket list ✅ to see them live. Last February, I saw @officialspzd for the first time, which was a mesmerising experience at @earthackney. The music and lighting together made the performance feel both intense and dreamlike - the band had really captured the crowd.
