Creekbed Carter Hogan is a minnesota based folk artist that just put out a new album last week called peasants revolt, And I cant stop listening to it.

Its incredibly poetic. Referencing appalachian strike songs, trans rights and even the haitian revolution.

And its all done so well, the wordplay on this album and all of their music is immaculate.

Here take a listen.

Play clip

What do you get when the bass player from Title Fight starts a new band? You get @glitterererer.

Glitterer is one of the best bands on Spotify under 100k listeners, and you’ve probably never heard of them.

Glitterer is an indie rock band started by Ned Russin back in 2017.

The band started back in 2017 in Washington, D.C. and have since put out 5 studio albums. The band initially started as a solo project, but the last three albums have the full band lineup, complete with Ned on guitar and vocals, keys, bass, and drums.

They sound like a blend of indie rock, with a sprinkle of shoegaze, and some lo-fi, grungy production to top it off. Their songs are minimal, bass and guitar are driven, and its all buttoned up with awesome raw and emotional vocals.

My favorite songs are “Are you Sure?” off their 2021 album “Life is not a lesson” and “not Forever” off of their new album.

Definitely go check them out on spotify, and do your part to help out bands who should be more popular than they are right now!

I walk by this tree almost every day, and every day it reminds me of the great tree from Totoro. Today I decided to film it. Here are the songs I would listen to sitting underneath the tree, daydreaming about the future.

Shira Small - I Want To Lay With You
Antonio Carlos Jobim - Chega De Saudade
Kishi Bashi - This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)
The Back Alley - Grey Skies
Radiohead - House of Cards
Doris Troy - Just One Look taken in Minnehaha Parkway by @walsh___
