Who you wit, where you from?

I’m with my ride or die, and you know where we’re from!

I loved Berlin, but not so much for my bride.

That’s totally fine, 17 years of marriage and counting! We don’t have to agree on everything.

While I didn’t take as many photos as I’d hoped to, here are some of my favorite pictures.

By far, my favorite experience was riding the Ubahn(subway). At every station there was a different artistic expression and story.

Shout out to my brother Collo for his faithful marathon ministry to the Germans. He’s been leading an effort for the last 20 years teaching music to German youth. Also, Israel and his wife Juliett have been remixing and shaking things up in Strausberg.

I would be upset if Jesus asked me three times whether I loved Him.

After the second time, I would think to myself, “Jesus, didn’t You just ask me that? Don’t You know everything?”

By the third time, I would know He was definitely provoking me.

I believe provocation was exactly Jesus’ intention when He asked Peter three times. His message was clear: if you love Me, you will love and care for My people.

It’s simply not possible to love God and hate others.

So let’s bring that same energy we have for God to all of His creation. That is, “IF” we love Jesus. taken in Tahquamenon Falls, Upper Peninsula by @waltervmarshall

Across the street from our hotel was this historic Flakturm Humboldthain landmark that overlooks the city.

It was once the largest anti-aircraft bunker in Berlin used during WW2. It was built by prisoners of war and forced laborers in just six months from Oct 1941 - April 1942. This bomb shelter could hold nearly 15,000 civilians in the gun tower which spanned 42 meters tall with walls 2.5 meters thick and ceilings just under 4 meters thick.

Today, it’s a place of serenity. Lush gardens, hiking trails, wall climbing, public swimming, playgrounds, and so much more to enjoy after a long day of work.

Yes you can!!

These photos don’t tell the entire story, but that’s the great art of photography.

These two are so competitive and they don’t hold back. As they were going at it, they began to draw a crowd of spectators.

The girls began to cheer and rally for Abby, and the boys cheered for Walt. When the lead got away from Abby, she was heartbroken and felt that she let down the girls.

Abby left the field in tears, and as I began to embrace her, she asked for a tissue. I told her to just use my shirt. She blew all kinds of yucky snot, and I’m like “ugggh gross, I thought you just wanted to wipe your eyes.” It was a good laugh, and it distracted her from her disappointment. Then I showed her some of the pics.

Blinded by the cross

But far be it from me to boast [in anything or anyone], except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world

Die meisten Menschen wissen nicht, dass eine Henne Eier ganz von selbst legt – ganz ohne Hahn. Ihr Körper produziert auf natürliche Weise in einem täglichen Rhythmus ein voll ausgebildetes Ei; dieses Ei ist lebendig und vollständig. Doch hier liegt der entscheidende Punkt: Ohne einen Hahn wird sich dieses Ei niemals zu einem Küken entwickeln. Es bleibt einfach in einem Ruhezustand. Der Beitrag des Hahns liefert den genetischen Bauplan, der das Blut, die Identität und das Leben des Kükens bestimmt. Ohne ihn fehlt dem Ei der Aktivierungsimpuls, der Bauplan und die Zukunft. Die Henne bietet zwar den Schutzraum und die Umgebung, doch die Genetik des Hahns bestimmt die Beschaffenheit des Blutes.

Marias Schoß war wie dieses Ei – ein perfektes, vorbereitetes und vollständiges Gefäß. Sie bot dem heranwachsenden Kind Schutz, Wärme und eine nährende Umgebung. Doch so wie das Blut der Henne niemals in das Küken übergeht, so gelangte auch Marias Blut niemals in Jesus. Und so wie der genetische Beitrag des Hahns den Bauplan für das Blut und die Identität des Kükens liefert, so bestimmt bei der menschlichen Zeugung stets die DNA des Vaters die Blutgruppe, die Blutstruktur und die Blutidentität des Kindes. Maria trug Ihn zwar aus, doch sie lieferte nicht den Bauplan für Sein Blut.

Gestern war Vatertag – denken Sie einmal darüber nach: Jesus hatte keinen irdischen Vater, der diesen Bauplan hätte liefern können. Die DNA keines menschlichen Mannes prägte Sein Blut. Die christliche Theologie lehrt, dass der Heilige Geist diese göttliche Rolle übernahm; das bedeutet, dass das Blut, das durch Jesus floss, auf einem Bauplan beruhte, den kein Mensch auf Erden je geliefert hat. Sein Blut war nicht nur von geistlicher Bedeutung. Biologisch gesehen stammte es vom Vater im Himmel.

Dies ist das Wunder der Jungfrauengeburt – und der Grund, warum das Blut Jesu unsere Sünden hinwegnehmen kann.

Nach dem Gesetz muss tatsächlich fast alles mit Blut gereinigt werden, und ohne Blutvergießen gibt es keine Vergebung.

Happy Father’s Day to my dad marshah and every other father I’ve had in life. Whether an uncle, pastor, friend, or leader, fathers are gifts from the Lord that help us understand his nature.

Recently I did a word study deep dive on Biblehub exploring what “father” really means.

Fathers are those who impress their own spirit, character, and attributes into others.

Here’s one definition from @biblehub:

“A spiritual ancestor, one who has infused his own spirit into others, whether good, as Abraham, the father of the faithful, Romans 4:11; or bad, as John 8:44, ‘Ye are of your father the devil.’”

I want to send a shout out to my special friend @pamela_alderman .

In life we meet thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people. But there are moments when God will allow just one or two people to cross your path specifically to help you achieve your purpose and calling.

Pamela, you have been one of those people for me. As I have been on this journey of faith, thank you for sharing your gifts and talents with the world and for shining your light for Jesus. @healinginarts
