WALZER A RIPETIZIONE - ONE YEAR AFTER
([ENG] at the bottom)

[ITA]
Ciao a tutti!

Hey there, everybody!
Today, the 16th of March, marks the first anniversary since WALZER A RIPETIZIONE, the 12 hours marathon of my new songs live at Milan's @arci_bellezza .
It seems incredible but a whole year has already passed since that rather epic day.
My songs haven't already come out, but I'm in talks with a record label these very days, so something might happen this year.
To celebrate the anniversary of such an incredible day, here's a very special surprise for you all, for those who were there and for those who weren't.
During the 12 hours long concert, we asked everyone attending to film one particular performance of the song B flat-tered with their phones. I want to thank everyone who filmed and sent the whole lot of videos we have received, and that my dear friend and director @riccardorudi edited together to make this very special music video.

WINTER OLYMPICS CARNIVAL THROWBACK

As you might've heard, these days the European city of Milan (Not too far from San Giorgio Su Legnano) is on a frenzied standstill due to a couple of reasons: First of all, it is Carnival time, for goodness sake; Secondly, there's sort of a local sporting event called @milanocortina2026 , it seems.
People from all over the world has come to the city in order to celebrate the jokey fun and to cheer and root for that iced sport or another.
All of this reminded me and @linda_dellasala (A talented musician and composer under her alias Aldesia Landall, check her out) of an aptly winter-sport-themed song we wrote and performed back in 2014 as part of our little duo George & Kevin (Check them out too).
The song, titled Ex Pattinatore (Ex Ice Skater), deals with the emotions lived first hand by an imaginary professional skater during one game in the exact moment he gets distracted during his routine by an audience member, causing him to fall and get seriously injured, ending de facto his carreer.
Seems like a tragic thing, but the song is actually a jolly tongue-in-cheek one, so it actually fits both spirits, the carnival and the olympic one, of nowadays.
We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we did writing and performing it, back in the day and today by @walzer._

-These Boots Are Made for Walkin’, Nancy Sinatra ‧ 1966
-Il ragazzo della Via Gluck, Adriano Celentano ‧ 1966
-Yesterday, The Beatles ‧ 1965

So honoured to be part of Let's Put Our Hearts Together, a tribute compilation to the late great @brianwilsonlive conceived in the immediate aftermath of his passing back in June.
The wealth of material to choose from to pick a song to cover was so overwhelming that I had to wait some time to settle on a particular song, that being Caroline, No (Although an acoustic medley of This Whole World/Break Away was also attempted).
As the final song on Pet Sounds, my acoustic bedroom version ends with proper pet sounds (I don't get well with dogs, but I've had canaries and cats at home) and the roar of a big moving vehicle (Not a train as on the original but instead a tram, a nod to my 2021 single Tramvieri Che Si Salutano).
I wish to thank @paoloschiamazzi for inviting me to be part of this project in the company of so many interesting artists and some really exciting renditions of some @thebeachboys /solo Brian masterpieces.

You can find the compilation at this link

25 Aprile 1945 - 25 Aprile 2025
