For over 500 years, Leeuwarden’s Blokhuispoort was a fortress, a prison, and the place where the death penalty was carried out. This three-part documentary series by @playbackimages, directed by @JelmarHoekstra & @WilfriedBijma uses remarkable historical criminal cases to trace how justice evolved in the Netherlands and Friesland.

I DP’d the reenactment scenes with a tiny crew (director, producer, gaffer, MUAH and me), which made it a lot of fun. The real challenge was lighting a story set before electricity: every source had to feel motivated, from candlelight to daylight through the bars. Swipe through for some stills from the reenactments.

All three episodes are now streaming on NPO Start.

‘MAYA MARIA - Way Back’ music video is out now! It’s wild to think this journey started a year ago. From the very first concept talks, to funding, to long production days and months of post. This one has been a ride.

@m.ayamaria and I worked closely from day one to bring her story to the screen. What grew out of that became a surreal, dreamlike world where she dives into her past, confronts old trauma, and faces it head on.

We hiked through forests carrying way too much gear, made Maya fly, stood in freezing water, and even built a massive custom light orb (huge love to @decodudes). So many small details, practical elements, and bits of movie magic went into this, and I’m honestly incredibly proud of what we created together.

None of this happens alone. Endless gratitude to everyone who gave their time, talent, and energy to make this real ❤️

You can find the full video on YouTube.

Vorig jaar oktober reisden we met een Nederlandse crew af naar Wales om een korte speelfilm op te nemen op de hoogste berg van het land: Yr Wyddfa. De film is bijna af en inmiddels is er een korte teaser!

We shot the new music video ‘Bounce of Grace’ for @SeewolfMusic with @inigo.film. Full of rock’n’roll energy, with a nod to Oasis - Wonderwall.
Big visuals, lots of attitude.
A long day at @fabuchfilmstudios with a great crew and an even better result.
Give the video a look on Youtube!

This is Inigo.film, a creative production company rooted in Friesland.

We grew from a simple belief: stories deserve more than just pretty pictures, they deserve intention. That's why we blend creativity, strategy, and just the right amount of digital wizardry to make things that not only look good but actually hit your goals as well.

We’re obsessed with character, curious about culture, and always chasing that creative space where concept meets craft.

Got a story worth telling? Slide into our inbox and come by the Inigo HQ. We’ll grab a coffee, talk ideas, and let Wander flex his dangerously good mixtape collection. See you there! by @wanderandringa
