A little peek at a day in my life ✨ From coffee + teaching bootcamp to getting miles in with Breck, working, and ending the day with a mountain sunset… my days are usually pretty full.

Which is exactly why recovery needs to be part of the routine, too. ♨️❄️

PORTAL° Thermaculture in LoHi has quickly become one of my favorite places to reset. With saunas, cold plunges + social spaces, it’s more than recovery — it’s a whole experience. I love cycling between the heat + cold, catching up with friends, and making time to slow down.

If you’re looking for a beautiful fall hike without committing to a huge mountain day, save these two at Betasso Preserve 👇

🍂 Canyon Loop

🚵 Mountain bike note: Bikes are allowed Sunday–Tuesday + Thursday–Friday, but not Wednesday or Saturday. E-bikes are not allowed.

🍂 Save this for your next post-work adventure in Denver!

If you’re looking for an easy fall hike that feels like you actually got out of the city without driving for hours, add Meadow View + Sleepy’s Trail at Elk Meadow Park to your list.

We went around sunset and the combination of golden aspens, mountain views, wildlife + that soft evening light was SO good. 🌅

Skip the crowded fall hikes and try this instead 🍂🐴

I found the most fun way to experience Colorado’s fall foliage — horseback riding through the mountains at Old Stage Riding Stables, just 30 minutes from Colorado Springs.

We spent an hour riding through the aspens at peak color, with mountain views around basically every turn. 🍂⛰️

And honestly? It was the perfect fall girls’ day. The staff was so friendly, the horses were SO sweet (I’m still thinking about Ducky 🥹), and there’s even a little cantina on-site if you want to hang around afterward.

📍 Old Stage Riding Stables
📍 ~30 min from Colorado Springs
🍂 We went October 4 + hit peak foliage
🐴 1-hour horseback ride

Adding this one to my list of Colorado fall activities I’d 100% do again.

🍂 An underrated Lyons hike to add to your fall bucket list! 🥾

If you’re looking for a Colorado hike with mountain + water views without needing to tackle a 14er, add this one to your list! 👀

📍 Button Rock Dam via Sleepy Lion & Longmont Dam Road Loop
🥾 5.1 miles
⛰️ 856 ft elevation gain
💪 Moderate
🐶 No dogs allowed
💰 Free parking
🎟️ No reservations required
🚻 Restrooms at the trailhead

The trail has a little bit of everything—forests, rushing waterfalls, rocky overlooks, and gorgeous views of the reservoir. And I can only imagine how pretty this area is once the fall colors really start popping! 🍁

Summit Sundays 🏔️ | Sugarloaf Mountain

One of my favorite bang-for-your-buck hikes near Boulder 👀🏔️

Sugarloaf Mountain is just 1.4 miles round trip with 449 ft of elevation gain, but the views from the summit are SO worth it. You’ll get panoramic views of downtown Boulder, the Flatirons, Indian Peaks Wilderness + Rocky Mountain National Park — and it’s dog-friendly, so of course Breck had to come along 🐶❤️

✨ A few things to know:
• Moderate + rocky trail to the summit
• Large parking lot + no parking fee
• 360° panoramic views
• Great for sunrise or sunset
• My favorite seasons here are spring + winter ❄️

Saturday Strolls 🍂🥾✨

Looking for an easy way to enjoy Estes Park without tackling a steep hike? Add the Lake Estes Trail to your list! 🏔️💦

This 4-mile loop is mostly mellow, with beautiful mountain views, peaceful lakeside scenery, and plenty of opportunities to spot wildlife along the way. 🦌✨

And honestly… fall might be my favorite time to do it. 🍁 The golden trees + mountain backdrop are hard to beat!
